So proud

Some times when I wonder if what I teach my kids goes in one ear and out the other...they surprise me. Bug came home today and was just grinning ear to ear. When I asked him how his day was, he said it was GREAT and that what he had to tell me would make me so proud of him. Curiously I looked at him as he began to tell me the story of what happened today at school. He was running late for school today (thanks to mom sleeping in lol) and so he was in bit of a hurry to get to class. As he was on the school grounds by the trailers at Westmore, he looked down and saw a $20 bill. He picked it up and looked around. He didn't see any one so he quickly put his scooter in the bike rack and ran into the secretaries office. He told them he had found it outside and didn't know who it belonged to. They looked at him, smiled, took the money and thanked him for being so honest. I was so dumbfounded. All the times we talked about honesty and when we found money and turned it in, sank in. I wasn't around to tell him what to do. HE knew what to do. I WAS SO PROUD!!
